The design brief was to create a modern and comfortable facility, using robust materials, high quality fittings, tiled interiors, and creating well-lit spaces.
Large scale wall graphics of native forest highlight the sense of place focus of the airport and create a point of interest in an otherwise utilitarian space. With the layout redesigned, the number of toilets has more than doubled to cater to the increasing demand and ensure passenger comfort.
